Nailbook did not start as a business. It started as a tiny tool to help just one nail tech: my mum.
My mum has been a nail technician for years. She has always had the talent for it and she quickly built a good business with regular clients. The only problem was the admin that's unavoidable once you work with more than a couple clients. A paper notepad with the the client details, appointments confirmed across multiple different chat and social media apps, and client preferences she mostly kept in her head. Some evenings she spent longer chasing bookings than she had spent at the desk.
So I built her something simple. A booking page she could share, a client book that remembered every visit, and reminders that went out on their own.
Real use taught us things no plan would have. That a no-show is not just a lost hour, it is a gap that could have gone to someone else. That the most valuable thing a nail tech owns is the history of who sits in their chair, what work they had done, and when they are due back. That the app had to work from a phone, between clients, with one hand, or it would not get used at all.
Every one of those lessons is built into Nailbook today.
What started as a favour became a proper product, shaped by a working nail tech and refined feature by feature. A booking page that fits around a real day. A client book that brings regulars back before they drift. Appointment reminders that do the chasing so you do not have to. A nail memory feature that keeps you in the loop on a client's nail lifecycle.
Every solo nail technician and small studio deserves this, not just the ones who can afford salon software built for chains. Nailbook is made in the UK, priced for one person running their own book, and built with the people who actually use it.
If that sounds like you, we would love for you to try it.
